Who we are
GoviHub is operated by AiGNITE Consulting (Houston, TX, United States) and its Sri Lanka branch. Contact: support@govihublk.com.
What we collect
- Account information: name, email, phone, role (farmer / buyer / supplier / admin), preferred language, general location (district/DS division, used to surface matches).
- Content you submit: harvest listings, demand postings, supply listings, crop photos for diagnosis, advisory questions, feedback, messages to us.
- Usage metadata: login times, device/browser user-agent, ad impressions and clicks (aggregated).
- Diagnostic photos: photos you upload for AI-assisted crop diagnosis are stored in our private media bucket and used to return results and improve the model over time.
How we use it
- Operate the marketplace: match farmers with buyers, surface listings, deliver advisory.
- Send weather alerts and crop-stage notifications you subscribed to.
- Improve our models (disease diagnosis, advisory RAG) using anonymized content with known sources.
- Prevent abuse, fraud, spam.
What we don't do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not share your harvest volumes or pricing with competitors.
Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, we deactivate it immediately and your profile and listings stop being visible on the platform. Your personal data is retained in our systems for a limited period for security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance, and copies may persist in routine backups before being permanently erased. You can request complete erasure of your personal data at any time by writing to support@govihublk.com, and we will action it within the timeframe required by the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022.
Diagnostic photos are retained up to 24 months unless you request earlier deletion.
Advertising
We show advertisements on the platform. To select which advertisements you see, we use your account role (for example farmer or buyer) and your district. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers, and advertisers do not receive your identity or contact details.
Your rights
You can request at any time via support@govihublk.com:
- A copy of your data.
- Correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion of your account and associated records.
- Withdrawal of consent for specific processing.
Children
GoviHub is not directed to children under 16. Do not create an account if you are under 16.
Changes
We will post material updates to this page and notify account holders by email where significant.
